The first Thursday of every month, we host, along with Adele Bethel ( of Sons and Daughters), BOOM BOOM! a raging dance party at Nice n Sleazy from 11:30pm to 3:00am where we play a considered collection of music from any genre and year as long as it has found its way into our hearts and gets us moving. Everyone has a good old fashion kitchen style dance party, giving way to the music and going wild.
The 3rd Saturday of every month we are in the west end, sharing sounds and pints, down at The Common Rooms (77 Byres Road).
The last Friday of every month finds us at Mono, playing some favourites we found at Monorail Music during our days, and ones that we have lovingly collected from far and wide.
Other places we can be heard… , The 78, The Buff Club, The Berkley Suite, Tiki Bar, Black Friars, Bar Bloc, Captain’s Rest, and Art openings.
- NEW* Weekly Every Tuesday, as of February 14th, Duncan Harvey (Button Up) and Deena will be hosting ‘Soul Supper Club’ at The Art School, curating a menu of North American Soul Food and setting the tone of the night through visuals and music. Musically the night is orientated around the sound of 60s American soul but with that comes all sorts of musical tangents into rhythm and blues, doo wop, funk, New Orleans jazz and early rock ‘n’ roll, etc… Claudia will always be close by and on occasions the duo of The Sophisticated Boom Boom will have conversations through music behind the decks.
